Metro Privilege/Gift Card may only be used at Metro Stores in Singapore.
Metro Privilege/Gift Card can be used to purchase a Metro Gift Card.
Any unutilised value in the Metro Privilege/Gift Card may not be refunded.
This Metro Privilege/Gift Card is not transferable.
Metro will not be responsible for verifying the identity of the user of this Metro Privilege/Gift Card and will not be liable for any loss, damage, theft or unauthorised use of the Metro Privilege/Gift Card.
For lost or stolen card, Cardmember shall notify Metro either by calling or reporting in person at the Customer Service counter at any Metro Stores to lodge a report. Metro will suspend the card upon satisfying all verification procedures. Upon suspension of lost card, the balance amount from a lost card at the point of report and record shown will be transferred to a new Metro Privilege/Gift Card.
Metro will not be held liable for any lost or stolen card and its unused value. Metro shall not entertain any request to reinstate any lost funds from a lost card.
Faulty cards due to manufacturer’s defect will be replaced free of charge.
Replacement cards shall bear the same expiry date as damaged/lost card.
An administrative fee of S$12 will be levied for a replacement of lost/stolen card.
Replacement of a lost card and transfer of funds to a new card must be done in person at the Customer Service counter for authentication purposes.
Metro Privilege/Gift Card does not require joining fees or accumulated receipts.
Load a minimum amount of S$380 to the card and the money is available for immediate use at all Metro Stores island wide.
All mode of payment are acceptable for the purchase of Metro Privilege/Gift Card, except Metro Shoppers Cheque.
Top-up of cash value during the card’s validity period is applicable, with a minimum of S$10 and up to a maximum of S$1,000.
Metro Privilege/Gift Card is valid for 2 years.
Metro Privilege/Gift Card can be renewed free of charge as long as the Cardmember has made purchases totalling a minimum of S$750 and above through the card during the validity period.
All unused funds can be transferred to a new card no later than 1 month after the card expires.

The Metro Card is a discount card without any stored value or reloading facilities.
Does the Metro Privilege/Gift Card come with an expiry date? Yes. The Metro Privilege/Gift Card is valid for 2 years from date of activation.
How can I join to be a member? Simply visit any Metro Stores Customer Service counter and request for a Metro Privilege/Gift Card. You will need to load S$380 into the card and submit a completed application form, upon which your membership will be immediately processed and activated.
Does my membership need to be activated? Yes. To activate both your membership and your card, our Customer Service personnel will scratch the Activation Code on the reverse of the card and key in your activation code in our system.
Can I apply for a spouse or supplementary card? No. The Metro Privilege/Gift Card does not issue spouse or supplementary cards.
Can I withdraw any unutilised funds from the Metro Privilege/Gift Card? No, unutilised funds in a Metro Privilege/Gift Card would not be refunded.
How can I check the available balance in my Metro Privilege/Gift Card? To check the available balance on your Metro Privilege/Gift Card, refer to any Nets charge slip from a recent transaction. The Nets charge slip will display the card balance amount, the amount utilised, and the expiry date.
If I lose my Nets charge slip, how can I check the available funds in my Metro Privilege/Gift Card? Visit any Cashier or Customer Service counter at your nearest Metro Store and present your Metro Privilege/Gift Card to check the available funds in your Card. This service is provided free of charge.
What should I do if I lose my Metro Privilege/Gift Card? If your Metro Privilege/Gift Card is lost or stolen, you should notify us immediately at any of our Metro Stores. Metro will attempt to suspend the use of the lost or stolen card.
What will happen to my money in the lost card? Metro may, at the request of the card member, transfer the unutilised funds in the lost or stolen Metro Privilege/Gift Card to a replacement card. Under no circumstances will Metro be liable for any unauthorised use of a lost or stolen Metro Privilege/Gift Card. Any request for the transfer of unutilised funds in the Metro Privilege/Gift Card must be made in person by the Cardmember at any Customer Service counter of any Metro Stores.
Are there any fees imposed for replacement cards? Yes. An administrative fee of S$10 will be imposed and a further S$2 will be charged for the cost of a new replacement card.
What happens if the Metro Privilege/Gift Card is faulty or damaged? If a Metro Privilege/Gift Card is faulty due to a manufacturer’s defect, it will be replaced free of charge and the unutilised funds in the faulty or damaged Metro Privilege/Gift Card will be transferred to the new replacement card. If the Metro Privilege/Gift Card is defective or damaged as a result of mishandling – such as cracked, scratched or defaced –a free replacement card would not be provided.
What will happen to the unutilised funds in the damaged card? Any unutilised funds in a defective or damaged card may be transferred to a replacement card at a cost of S$2 per card.
What are the criteria for the renewal of the Metro Privilege/Gift Card? A renewal letter will be sent to members and those who have accumulated a total expenditure of S$750 and above at Metro within the 2 years membership may proceed to any of our Customer Service Centre at Metro Departmental stores for a renewed card. This amount includes the initial loaded funds of S$380.
What should I do if I did not meet the renewal criteria but still have some unutilised funds in my card? You can sign up as a member again by loading a new Metro Privilege/Gift Card with S$380 and therefore enjoy another 2 years of membership privilege. Upon activating your new membership, you can transfer all remaining balance from your old card to your new card OR Purchase a Metro Gift Card at $10 and transfer all unutilised funds from the expired Metro Privilege/Gift Card to a new Metro Gift Card.
