There are twelve cups in a set, each painted with a flower that represents each month of the year. Every flower represents a respective goddesses; ‘hua’ which means flower in Mandarin, and ‘shen’ which translates to goddess. Engraved in blue on the reverse side of each cup is a poem, along with a seal that says ‘to appreciate’. This set of cups ties poetry, literature, art and seals together to give people a lasting impression of pottery.
