‘Qian Li Jiang Shan’, or ‘A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains’ is the only surviving work created by Wang Ximeng of the Northern Song Dynasty. The artwork was completed in half a year when he was 18 years old. A small section of the painting has been incorporated into this silk fan. The mountains and rivers are far and wide, creating a magnificent atmosphere. The village fair, fishing boat, bridge waterwheel and forest birds are well-positioned using ingenious brushwork. As you lift your fan, you will be able to see the eternal beauty of the mountains and rivers from the past coming into full view.
